ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KXII) – An Ardmore buffalo statue was introduced again to its dwelling in entrance of the Hardy Murphy Coliseum on Monday with a contemporary new look.
The statue is certainly one of 4 fiberglass buffalo in Ardmore, put up as a part of a conservancy challenge fifteen years in the past.
However Create Ardmore chairman Maria Wilkinson mentioned they have been starting to look worn out.
“After fifteen years they have been drained and had peeing paint and have been able to be refreshed,” Wilkinson mentioned. “That was Create Ardmore’s objective with this, to take what we had and provides it new life.”
The statue was taken down final week and an area artist, Taylor Tucker, repainted it.
Two different buffalo… one in entrance of Metropolis Corridor and one in Ardmore’s Central Park, have been refreshed over the summer season. The final buffalo, at the moment hanging out in Ardmore’s downtown Depot District, remains to be in its authentic state. Whether or not or not it’s going to get a brand new look has not been determined but.
