DALLAS (AP) — An unopened copy of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda that was made in 1987 has bought at public sale for $870,000.
Heritage Auctions in Dallas stated the online game bought Friday.
The public sale home stated it was a uncommon model that was created throughout a restricted manufacturing run that passed off throughout a couple of months in late 1987. The Legend of Zelda is a well-liked fantasy journey recreation that was first launched in 1986.
“The Legend of Zelda marks the start of some of the essential sagas in gaming; its historic significance can’t be understated … it’s a true collector’s piece,” Valarie McLeckie, Heritage’s online game specialist, stated in a press release.
In April, the public sale home bought an unopened copy of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. that was purchased in 1986 and forgotten about in a desk drawer for $660,000.
